This is a schedule of events where we sell milkweed seeds and plants. We take cash and checks only for the purchase of plants and seeds. Milkweed seed packets can also be purchased by mail or at one of the gift shops at Natural Bridges State Park in Santa Cruz, California and Coyote Hills Regional Park in Fremont, California. These gift shops take cash, checks and credit cards. Milkweed Plants can only be purchased by appointment or at one of the events listed below. Milkweed plants are NOT SHIPPED. |

10th Annual Butterfly and Bird Festival Date: Saturday, April 25, 2009 Time:10 AM to 3 PM Location: Coyote Hills Regional Park ,80000 Patterson Ranch Road,Fremont, California, 94555 This is a very special venue so we make the extra effort to travel the 60+ miles to attend this event. In addition to the great workshops and overall program, they have one of the most beautiful butterfly gardens around. We always make time to walk around to see what is new and to get ideas. We first saw it when it was just a hill with lots of weeds and they were beginning to create this unique garden. Additionally, the festival has a variety of booths all nestled in this very unusual and special park. They have great bird watching, as well, for anyone who is a birder. We will have milkweed for sale as well as to share information about butterfly gardening. Please join us for a wonderful day at this event in this unique and wonderful place. Santa Cruz County Fair Time: Noon to 7:00 Date: September 11 and 12 , 2008 (Thursday and Friday) Location: Watsonville Fair Grounds Join us and enjoy this very interesting event. We will NOT have milkweed for sale. This venue is for education only. See you at the Santa Cruz County Fair!!

Insect Family Fun Day Time: 11 AM to 3 PM Date: September 20, 2008 (Saturday) Location: Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History We will have milkweed for sale. Should be a fun event.

Migration Festival Time: 10 AM to 4 PM Date: October 12, 2008 (Sunday) Location: Natural Bridges State Park , near Santa Cruz, California. EXTRA SPECIAL--This is the 75th Anniversary of Natural Bridges!! Join us and enjoy this very interesting event. We will have milkweed for sale. Hope to see you there.!! |
NOVEMBER |

Monarch Madness!! Time: TBA Date: November 29, (Saturday) Location: Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History , at Pacific Grove, California. What is especially important is that this is one two sites in the Monterey Bay area that serves as an over wintering site for the Monarch butterfly. It is a great opportunity to take some time off after Thanksgiving to walk around beautiful Pacific Grove as well as visit the sanctuary where the butterflies are waiting out the winter. Monarch Madness, itself provides activities for kids and adults as well. We will have milkweed for sale. Hope to see you there.!!
